Airfree Tire
After a series of flats on my road bike, I decided to try out Airfree Tires. I saw mixed reviews of them before ordering, but decided to go for it. I am having nothing but annoyance with the company at this point. I ordered my tires over 3 weeks ago, and they have not arrived, despite the claim that they should be there in 12 business days. I have been trying to get in touch with their "24 hour customer service," but getting an answer is like pulling teeth. They tell you something along the lines of "everything's fine" but never actually answer the question. "Our supplier is experiencing delays" was the answer to "When will I get my tires?"
After waiting this long and dealing with this customer service, I'm scared to cancel my order. How long would it take to refund my money???????
For those contemplating buying from them during their big September sale, I'd recommend waiting. I promise to update my blog if the tires ever arrive.

Did you ever get the air free tires? I suppose that wasn't too important to you considering everything else going on in your life. Way to go on biking 13 miles to work last Friday! Hope it was an enjoyable route.

This says it all. This message was sent to Airfree 22 August 2008. AT 64 years of age, I would only hope that I will live long enough to see this properly resolved ;-) If nothing else, I would love to see the U.S. Attorney General check this out under the RICO Act!
My re-order arrived today! My original order (transaction 1782092714, Cust. ID 6445, invoice #6950 ordered 28 Mar 2008) was paid to the amount of $114.92 (including shipping). My re-order (order#100423, cust ID 59998, invoice #6950) was for $90.07 (including shipping). The difference is $24.85 that you at Airfree owe me. Please send check or money order to cover the amount that you need to refund me. I have copies of all our email correspondence if you do not have records.

I ordered my tires from Airfree in September. It's now May, no tires, no refund. The customer service is terrible. No responses from them despite multiple attempts to contact them and resolve this. They appear unable, or unwilling to either ship my tires or provide a refund. I would stay away from this company at all costs.
